The estate composed of plot of land with the surface of 920 m2 and a building with P+1E+M (ground floor + 1st floor + attic) is located in the protected area 76 - Mircea Vodă Church – Sapienței. According to PUZ (town planning) of the Protected area no. 76, the location belongs to sub-area L2b. The area encloses the back of the fronts on Splaiul Independenței, Bd. Națiunilor Unite and includes Sapienței, Vigilenței, Brutus and Poliției streets, a fragment which witnessed the traditional diffuse tissue which resulted after the demolitions from the mid 1980s. The evolution of the area is spontaneous and unregulated, representing a portion of the pre-modern city with the traditional street network rectified at the end of the 19th century by gradual and non-homogenous replacement and densification of the buildings, following to large scale urban restructuring operations generated as an intervention strategy after the earthquake from 1977.
This project is proposing the consolidation and reconfiguration of the existing house S+P+1E+M (basement + ground floor + 1st floor + attic) (building A).
