Authors’ Comment

In defining the final concept, “B.Home”, we had in mind the client’s desire to create a relaxing and friendly space, characterized by diversity, which would be as close as possible to the feeling of home. This premise generated the idea of meeting spaces that are associated with rooms of a house: living room, reading room, workshop, terrace, and even tea room. Situated in an atypical office building, Orhideea Tower, the design had to mediate the interior architecture based on the specific needs of enclosed spaces. Hence, the box-type rooms were created, with glass walls that follow the angle of the façade. Also for technical reasons transformed into aesthetical choices, the ceiling was kept open on the circulation and relaxing areas, and the ducts were painted in dark grey. Together with the grey carpet, these elements create a neutral space, technological and industrial, that receives the warm and homey elements of the meeting and relaxation areas.
