Authors’ Comment

Located on the ground floor of an office building in the center of Bucharest, the space has both a strong feature and a weakness, an aspect that ultimately helped us: only two sides of the space benefit from natural light, with its high windows extending along the entire floor - 3.5 meters. As such, the work space, one of the meeting rooms and the reception are located in the front, while three other meeting rooms, the kitchen and the technical spaces are placed in areas with artificial lighting. This gave us the opportunity to play with lighting objects so that, depending on the theme, different lighting scenarios can be used. Spaces have become not only intimate but especially dynamic, even if the finishes, furniture and cladding are simple, with a certain timeless design.
Inspired by Scandinavian aesthetics, the lines of the entire design are simple, rigorous, using materials that bring together the sensations of the three key elements of life: water (ultramarine blue tones), air (twilight gray tones found in the paint, wallpaper, carpets) and nature (light wood cladding, vertical greenhouse plants).
The strategy of the open workspace provides a personal environment to each user with the help of sound-absorbing panels and at the same time offers the possibility of interaction between colleagues in comfortable lounge areas.
