The AB apartment had two solve two main issues raised by the owners: the desire of having a bright house and that of transforming the old, common apartment in a place that would represent both the user’s identity and age. If the first matter was concerning mainly the living rooms, the one lacking light the most, the idea of defining a well-established character was something that had to apply to each and every space. Therefore, a set of materials was chosen. Their colours are contrasting, yet harmonized, in such way they result in a clear, easy to perceive space, that allows light to blow in between spaces. The unitary approach, using distinct repeating motifs, such as metallic structures and yellow colour tones, express on one hand the industrial theme, which the owner fancy, and, on the other hand, the warmth of a home. The equilibrium in which colours, textures and material coexist allows each of them to be, in different instances, preeminent, on a background of geometrical shapes organically placed.
