Authors’ Comment
A house for two. A house of dimension. A theoretical study that is in search for new parameters defining the dimensions of a house.
Each person has its own private space/world/sphere which he carries along as he goes through life. At one point he feels the need to share a common space with the beloved one. Together they built a house with love and care. How? Their worlds start to overlap by creating a common ground, a house for their memories to grow and preserve. This intersection of each other’s private sphere can differ in size. They decide how much space taken from their inner world becomes domestic, their house; In this manner the House works with a given dimension – the width of the resulted overlapped space. The site plan is not accidental, it gently captures both worlds, two opened, dreamy spaces; at their intersection their house starts growing in a meaningful way. They don’t feel the need of an unconventional house space. Their only wish is to capture the essence of their built home by not leaving each other’s worlds behind.
